Meratch at Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026, Amsterdam

From 6 to 8 October, the Meratch team exhibited at the Meteorological Technology World Expo in Amsterdam. The expo is one of the industry’s main international events, and it brings together national weather services, infrastructure operators, researchers and technology providers from around the world.

What we brought

We showcased our environmental portfolio, starting with IoT sensors for water level, rainfall and soil moisture. We also presented our full range of solutions: Floodar for flood early warning, drought early warning, water quality and quantity monitoring, and hyperlocal weather nowcasting.

What we heard

Visitors were very interested in nowcasting. Many organisations already use weather forecasts, but few have accurate, local information for the next few minutes or hours, which is when operational decisions are made. Our edge is that we offer end-to-end solutions, including data from our own sensors.

Floodar also drew a lot of attention. While river-scale flood forecasting is already available, protecting specific sites, such as a town, a section of railway or a road, is still much less common. That’s where Floodar is designed to help.

Over three days, we talked with a variety of companies and visitors from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Their needs were very different, but most came down to the same thing: reliable local data that can be turned into timely warnings.

What comes next

We left Amsterdam with new contacts and potential partnerships, and we’re now following up on several collaborations and pilot opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth. If we met in Amsterdam, or you’d like to learn how Meratch can help protect your community or infrastructure, get in touch.
